It is very helpful for troubleshooting purpose. If you are going to do a critical troubleshooting for a long time and you are not sure that if you forgot something during the troubleshooting and can done any mistake.
In this case we can run the PSR recording , It will record every mouse movement and click and will maintain a file. See below steps and example.
- Press Windows key + R. Once you press this combination. Below result will appear.
Type the PSR as below and press enter
Click on start recording and then do anything which you want to do or troubleshooting steps needed
Once your work or troubleshooting done , Click on stop recording
Just after click on stop recording , a window will be open like below. Actually it will be a file which can be save. it will save in *hmt format and will be auto compressed in *.zip
If you will scroll down this file , you can see you every event which you have performed. every mouse click and movement is recorded in this file.
It can be use in different ways. suppose you given your laptop to someone for sometime and you want to keep-track his all the activities. but you don’t want to use screen video recording. because you are not sure that how much time he will use the laptop / desktop. If you will use the screen video recording then it will consume more RAM and hard-disk. If your hard-disk is not enough then your friend will get a memory full message as well as screen recording notification. Which is not good option.
In this case we can use PSR recording because it will not record the video. just it will take the screen shots of clicks and activities. this activity record will be save in a *.mht file which will be save under *.zip file. which is an compress format.
